In this update, a number of attributes have been modified to improve game balance.
The update also introduces new functions such as added keystrokes, shortcuts, and
expanded support for Windows 2000. Each change is documented in the readme.txt file
included with the update..

This file will update Ground Control from version 1.0.0.7 to 1.0.0.8.
This version of the 1.0.0.8 patch addresses the "hourglass" problem, where Ground Control
does not start for some people. To fix that problem, it is important that this is the
first patch you apply to your game. If you have already applied another patch to your game,
uninstall your game, reinstall Ground Control and then apply this patch.

- Dedicatet Server

The Ground Control Dedicated Server software is required for the creation of
Ground Control game servers. This version of the Dedicated Server requires
that Ground Control be installed.
NOTE: The Ground Control Dedicated Server is developer-oriented software
that is not supported by Sierra Technical Support. For more information,
please refer to the GCDS_Manual.txt file.

Please note that this is NOT a full distribution of the GenEd Ground Control
mission editor but merely an update for the GenEd version distributed on the
Ground Control CD build 1.0.0.7 and 1.0.0.8.

- Height Map Package

The gcheightmaps.zip file contains all single player mission height maps used in the o
riginal Ground Control in .tga format. Massive suggests using the height maps as a guide
when creating original Ground Control maps with GenED, the Ground Control editing tool
available on the Ground Control CD. Consult the GenED readme.txt file for instructions
on how to edit and use height maps.
To open the .zip file, an unzip utility (such as Winzip) is required.
NOTE: The GenED is developer-oriented software that is not supported by Sierra Technical Support.
